Delegates from the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) led by Dr. Okeyo Mwai, program lead of the African Dairy Genetic Gain (ADGG) project, and delegates from the Livestock Development Institute of Ethiopia held a consultative meeting with the Vice President for Research and Community Engagement of Mekelle University. Dr. Zbelo Tesfamariam, Delegate of VPRCE, welcomed the guests. Dr. Dawit, Fund Raising and Partnership Administration Director of MU, gave a brief presentation on the research, community engagement activities, and research collaborations of Mekelle University. Dr. Okeyo presented the research activities of ILRI and ADGG. The presentations were followed by discussions on research and community engagement collaborations where senior experts from the College of Dryland Agriculture and Natural Resource and the College of Veterinary Sciences; directors under the VPRCE actively participated.
