Lamaro Gloria Peace from the Institute of Climate and Society, today in Management Hall successfully defended her dissertation on, Climate Change Impact on the Current and Future Sweet Potato Production, Nutritional Quality and Land Sustainability in the Arid and Semi-Arid Areas of Northern Ethiopia.

College of Veterinary Sciences organized an orientation session on the resumption of education to its staff.

In the occasion, Dr. Abdulkadir Kedir, Vice President for Acadamics of Mekelle Universty provided his advise regarding the challenges could face due to the postwar context and on how to cop up with the "new normal".

Furthermore, two presentations on Postwar Operation of HEIs and Realities Experiences helping to coming up with the postwar context; and Income Generation Strategy of the college: A five year income generation strategy were presented in the session.

Finally, Dean of the college, Dr. Abrha Bsrat in his orientation, underscored that extraordinary commitment is needed in this challenging context of postwar situation.
