In-service Applied Veterinary Epidemiology Training launched at CVS-MU in partnership with MoA and FAO.
An opening session held on July 8, 2024 in CVS-MU. The program spans four months: three weeks of lectures, one week of group exercises in nearby districts, followed by three months of mentor-supported fieldwork focusing on data collection, analysis, and paper writing.
The training aims at enhancing disease surveillance, reporting, prediction, and preparedness against infectious diseases in Tigray region. Trainees include field veterinarians from 30 districts; trainers and mentors are from various institutions including CVS-MU, TARI, TBoARD, MoA, and FAO.
