Australian Ambassador to Ethiopia, HE Ambassador Julia Neblett, paid a visit to Mekelle University. President of MU, Dr. Fana Hagos, and top management members of MU welcomed HE Julia Neblett today, August 13, 2024, at the Senate Hall, Main Campus. In the occasion, MU's Vice President for Supporting Services, Dr. Tekeste Birhanu, presented an overview of MU and the collaboration with Australian universities. MU's President, Dr. Fana Hagos, and HE Ambassador Julia Neblett agreed to work together on human rights, gender equality, international relations, climate change, multi-nationalism, and peace-building, especially through MICTA ambassadors to Ethiopia. The Ambassador also stated that her embassy is interested in supporting MU through the Australia Africa Network, especially on joint research, capacity-building, and education.
