An Inception workshop on the Ethical Value of "Abo -Gereb" held at Atse Youhannes hotel, Mekelle.

The Center for Applied Ethics and Critical Thinking (CAECT), department of Philosophy, MU,College of Law and Governance has launched a project inception workshop on harnessing the Ethical values of Abo-Gereb and Enhance their Capacities as conflict transformers and vital stakeholders of conflict management. The three months project activity was conducted through the support and collaboration of USAID/OTI-Ethiopia Support Program .

During the inception workshop , Mrs. Birhan, dean of the College of Law and Governance, gave a welcoming speech and emphasized the importance and sustainability of peace building projects such as this one. Dr Abdulkadir A/V/P of MU, an honorable guest, delivered an opening speech and underlined on the vitality of local capacities on resolving local conflicts and beyond.
Furthermore, USAID/OTI_ESP representative Mr. Dawit Merhatsidk also gave brief remark on the ongoing works of the USAID projects in Tigray; and stated that the collaboration and support will continue if we work as team for mutual purposes.
Finally, very insightful discussion was made with participants of the workshop and action points on the details of the project were well noted for the further implementation of the project activity.
