A Fundraising Telethon held at Northern Star Hotel Mekelle on Sunday, Dec. 21,2016.
The telethon was organized by the former Mekelle University Ayder Alumni .
The aim of the telethon was to maintain the medical machines in the hospital; to provide a better service; to enable the students to carry out their research work with quality and to prevent the brain drain of health professionals.
During the telethon, Dr.Abdelkadir Kedir, Vise president for Acadamics of Mekelle University, extended his appriciation to the organizers and those who contributed to the succes of the telethon; and in his final statement said, "all of us should take our part to save Ayder Hospital"
