Workshop on Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Held at Mekelle University

​A high-level consultative forum focusing on "Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship" was held today, hosted by the Mekelle Institute of Technology (MIT) of Mekelle University and organized by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MInT).
​The forum centered on extensive discussions regarding the primary objectives of the Digital Ethiopia 2030 Strategy, the Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Policy, as well as the Startup Proclamation and entrepreneurship development.
​Key Highlights:

​Opening Remarks: The workshop was officially opened by the Vice President for Academic Affairs of Mekelle University. In his message, he emphasized the university's commitment to the national digital journey and highlighted the vital role of technology transfer in economic growth.
​Policy Explanation: Dr. Abebe Molla, representing the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, provided a detailed presentation on current policies and future directions in the sector. Dr. Abebe further explained the Ministry's strategic plans regarding the modernization of technological infrastructure.
​This workshop served as a significant platform for strengthening Ethiopia's digital ecosystem and creating awareness of policy frameworks that enable youth participation in innovative ventures.
