On January 30, 2026, Mekelle University (MU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Leaders Without Borders Development Centre (LWBDC) to strengthen international cooperation in leadership development, education, research, and community empowerment.
The MoU, signed by Dr. Eyasu Yazew, Vice President of Mekelle University in the presence of Dr. Tekeste Birhanu and Dr. Hillary Emoh, Founder and Principal Partner of LWBDC, aims to enhance institutional capacity, promote academic and professional exchange, support the internationalization of MU, and advance global partnerships and visibility. The agreement will be implemented through joint programs, trainings, conferences, and collaborative projects over an initial five-year period.
