Faculty for the Future Fellowships

What: Faculty for the Future fellowships are awarded to women from developing and emerging economies who are preparing for PhD or post-doctoral study in the physical sciences, engineering, or related disciplines to pursue advanced graduate study at top universities in their disciplines abroad. Launched by the Schlumberger Foundation in 2004, Faculty for the Future has grown to become a community of 110 women from 35 countries.

European Masters for

Student Scholarships for Third Country Students

The Erasmus Mundus Scholarships for non-Europeans aim at strengthening European co-operation and international links in higher education by enabling students and visiting scholars from around the world to engage in postgraduate study at European universities.

In the EMLE programme, this means that each year a number of non-European students will receive a grant of 21,000 € per selected student.

The European Commission has informed us that there will be scholarships for third country students for the academic year 2009-2010. Hence, the uncertainty regarding that issue has been resolved. In addition, the European Commission has informed us that there will also be scholarships available for students for the candidate member states of the EU (Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey). This implies that these students have to apply as third country students, not as European students!

The Conservation Leadership Programme (CLP) is now accepting applications for 2010 Conservation Awards. The CLP aims to promote the development of emerging conservation leaders and equip them with the capacity to address the most pressing conservation issues of our time. We do this by providing small grants, training, mentoring and networking opportunities, where award winners gain practical skills and experience and develop leadership capabilities through the implementation of projects focused on high-priority biodiversity conservation issues.
